The Bull
Clayhill Road Basildon
26th July 1974
My love of Live music all started way back in July 1974 a spotty 16 year old
got his first weeks wages and headed for the local pub The Bull Vange (The
Powerhouse)(Now a Block of Flats).
With my three mates Cliff, Dave and Mick I wonder what happened to them,
anyway we plucked up the courage to go in, the place was packed so we could
hide in the corner with the Bands equipment, I did not even look 16 let alone
18.
The Band playing that night was SKINT they were excellent playing classics
like Highway Star etc. The Band where Paul Dean (keyboards )(and Photos)
Paul Milligan (Guitar & vocals) & Paul Reynold (Drums) and they all now play in
the HEATERS (see 2000) they also had a Bass player Dave Bronze don't
know what happened to him ha!
He has since played with Glyder, Robin Trower, Dr. Feelgood, The Hamsters, Eric Clapton,
Nik Kershaw, Belinda Carlisle, Barbara Dickson, Art of Noise, Bryn Haworth and Ray Davies
and has been nominated for Bass player of the Year in BLUEPRINT MAGAZINE which I think
he won in 2000,
With guest singer who he!
